Dawson

Dawson City is a well preserved, living and breathing cultural and historic oasis tucked away in the middle of the Yukon wilderness. Once referred to as the “Paris of the North”, its name is synonymous with the 1898 Klondike Gold Rush.

The City of Dawson and the nearby ghost town of Forty Mile are featured prominently in the novels and short stories of famed American author Jack London, who lived in the Dawson area from October 1897 to June 1898. One of the books it's been featured in is the beloved book The Call of the Wild.
