Built in 1901 I am the third owner of this Steinway piano and purchased
it in 1986 right after I bought my first home.

About 10 years after I bought it a gentleman who worked on my piano replaced about six or seven of the original ivory keys that were slightly discolored . He was able to use some ivory keys that he had from other old pianos and matched them real nice. I forgot which ones they are :)

One thing I have loved about this piano over the years is that it really holds a tune. I probably should have it tuned more often but sometimes have gone five to seven years without one. I know it isn't right on, but it isnt blatantly off key when you play it like some family pianos i have sat down at .. lol.

It amazes me that I still have the original "Skeleton type" piano key and
the first two owners never lost it.

I had the action removed about 1990-95 and the hammers were
reshaped besides other minor restoration to the action while
it was handy to get to.

It has been about 6 to 7 years now I have been talking about selling it as we could use the additional room in our lower family room as I would also like to set up a photo studio.
So I am finally pulling the trigger and am looking for someone who would enjoy this vintage Steinway
for many years as I have since 86'
