For years I saw this area as a huge vacant wasteland each time my train pulled into Tokyo.
Finally the vacant lot was developed into 'Shiodome New City', a convenient 6 minutes walk from Shimbashi Station.
Now I sleep here and have 3 convenient ways to walk to the station: 300 meters above ground, ground level, or 300 m below ground if it rains !
