At Buda, Looking Out
Budapest was originally two cities: "Buda" and "Pest", with the Danube River separating them. They become one united city on November, 17th 1873.

Surf's Up
...or maybe just me being a huge dork. Here we are going across the famous "Liberty Bridge" over the Danube river.

Not Exactly Roughing It
Marcos Hostel actually turned out to be a great little loft apartment. Chrissi here is saying hello to the outside world...

I told you there would be more sunglasses pictures.

Cinna-Roll!
There were stands for these things everywhere. We decided that they tasted like a combination of a pretzel and a cinnamon donut. Mmmm. Plus, you gotta love this dude rocking out with his headphones while hard at work. I wonder what kind of music gets him in the mood to create these little pieces of edible art?

Bike-A-Pose
Bikes are always a great way to see a city and cover a lot of territory.

Real Men Pedal
This was my best attempt to look cool while riding my bicycle. Somehow I don't think it worked :p

Stop!
Again, I like taking pictures of random objects. For some reason I found these bicycle street lights rather interesting.

Hero Leap
Here we are at the famous "Heroes Square". This took quite a few attempts to jump at the precise time in order to nail this photo...

We took a tour of this very impressive Opera House. This is the view from one of the nice box seats.

Twists and Turns
Amazing architecture everywhere...

Courtyard - Bird's Eye View
View from the top of the "Yellow Submarine" hostel. (Doesn't look very yellow, does it?)

Can you see me?
OK, this is the last sunglasses picture, I promise!

Paradise
Szechenyi Gyogyfurdo - Our favorite bath house of the trip. This place was actually more like a resort and it's the largest thermal bath in Budapest. Indoor/Outdoor pools/jacuzzis, bars, and perfect weather. Couldn't ask for much more.

A little bubble on the grass
Random beer picture! And while we're on the subject, how do we say CHEERS in Hungarian? Glad you asked. This one is a little tough:
Egészségedre = Egg-A-Sheg-A-Dray
And if you're really interested, this is a great website, it tells you CHEERS in every language on the planet.

Vino on the Metro? Why Not?
Wine is even better when you can take it to go. In fact, it's even better then that when it's to go down in the subway :)

Riding the good ole M3 subway to Nyugati Pályaudvar
We definitely took advantage of the great public transportation in Budapest. By the end of our stay I could actually pronounce some of the station's names. Scary.
