Krasnoyarsk is the second largest town in the region of Krasnoyarsk with 930 000 inhabitants. "Krasna yarka" means red earth and refers to the red granite in the area which makes the mountains look red. Krasnoyarsk is a vibrant city with many industries connected to the richness of Siberia; minerals like gold and aluminum, forests,water power,...But it is also the center of space technology and the largest pharmaceutical industry in Russia.

I came across this Krasnoyarsk in a book by Sidney Sheldon..It was referred as an underground city for nuclear weapons..It's not what i can see..

These pictures are wonderful. I just came across your site. My husband and I were in Krasnoyarsk at the same time the dates are on these pictures. We were there adopting our son. I am so excited to have more pictures for him to see. Thank you so much Eva.
