Dragonfly

The size of their eyes always amazes me. My Plumbago has finally recovered from its transplant. I love how the blue flowers seem to glow.

wow his eyes really bulge out at you! Nice detail on his back and tail too - I haven't seen one like this here...

Good eye connection, Elaine.

I haven't seen many of these this year, but the ones I have seen have been extremely shy and fly away before I can get within feet of them. Amazing that you could get so close.

Yeh, and they can see in all directions. Great detail and you managed to not only capture the wings which is usually a problem but those big eyes that dominate this photo. Well done.

I've always wondered how they stay upright with a face that heavy. Must be why there back end is so long.

fascinating creature.... they are always milling around so I never manage the detail that you do Elaine

Great shot. So how come this ugly creature is a favorite decoration for baby stuff?

I know you are fascinated by dragonfly's,, I shall attempt to catch one tomarrow for you, if I suceed,, I'll do something special. But I'm willing to bet I'll only catch myself with the net over my own head trying. Nice shot Elaine

I can not believe how many dragonfly's you are able to shoot. I never see them here. I mean never and I certainly would probably run from them if they came my way. They sure are beautiful though.
