Sand Sculpture

This beautiful sand scultpure was created as a tribute for Father's Day. It is located in the center of a shopping center in a children's play area. The husband of one of the technology specialist for the county that Gayle and I are working in this week scultped this sculpture along with his assist who is the husband of another trainer. We took a trip after the workshop today to view the sculpture and to walk on the beach. Here is a view from a different angle.

Hi Elaine! Great photo! Thanks for including it. The sculptors' names were Mark Flynn and Kevin Nall. They worked 2 days, and it's still there after almost 2 weeks!!! More of Mark's work can be seen at www.sandodyssey.com if anyone is interested.

Amazing how much time must have been spent on something so impermanent. How nice that you immortalized it with your photos.

What a work! I can't figure out how they got the sand to stay together and not crumble.

I'm in awe of such talent. it's fantastic, Elaine. Looking at the shopping centre it looks exactly like one of our Gold Coast outdoor places, but then so did your yesterdays canal shot & the homes as well.

Very cool! It amazes me that people can create such gorgeous sculptures from sand and water.
