Bee or Wasp on the Leaf of a Princess Flower

I spent today working, but took my work outside. It was a beautiful day with mild temperatures and nice breezes. This was my view as I worked at the patio table with my umbrella up to block the sun.

Lots of golfers out enjoying the weather.

The dragonflies were everywhere today.

Back to work I go!

Trust me - that sucker hurts, so don't get too close! I'm amazed at some of your recent insect photos - how do you get so close to them?
Guest 02-May-2005 20:44
Like the black colour of the beastie!

Wow, what a pretty wasp on that lovely leaf!

That's a pretty wasp. Not sure I'd want to get too close though. :) I love the blues.

Very nice - I'm not sure how long I could concentrate in such a wonderful place

Love the blue tones of his body. He's probably cleaning up the nasty bugs.

Beautiful detail and cute bee.

I would've gone back inside in a quick second. You guys are lucky to have dragon flies.
Guest 02-May-2005 01:52
Yowzers, keep that stinger far away from me! bzzzzzz
Dennis Steinauer02-May-2005 01:46
Is that a bee or a wasp? Whichever, you guys certainly have some strange critters down there -- and that doesn't include the bipedal ones. Nice image.
