Throw Me Something Mister!

Metairie, Louisiana

Mardi Gras ends at the stroke of midnight tonight. The Catholic Lenten season begins and lasts until Easter Sunday. The weather was overcast but the crowds enjoyed themselves. This group dresses up as ZZ Top every year


It is tradition to walk the parade route before the beginning of the parade to see the costumes and say hello to friends you meet along the way.

I've loved seeing the mardi gras through your eyes. I didn't realize this was Shrove Tuesday. Now what to give up for Lent? :)
