I eat it hot - cooked in gumbos and jambalaya

I'm not familiar with this meat, do you eat it cold or hot?

I can't agree more with Neal!

Now here I am, a little overweight, at 11:00 in the evening, and you show me this. As the salivary glands kick into high gear, I will excuse myself and head for the fridge. An effective photo indeed!

Oops, Elaine forgot to say great photo, LOL !

It's new to me but it sounds like German Kranski which is a spicy sausage cooked on the barbecue. If any of you Louisiana ladies have the time to pass on your gumbo ingredients I would love to know :>)

Well smoked Andouille will always help make a good gumbo. Makes me want to make one also, but I guess I can wait till Christmas.

I am presently cooking two gallons of this gumbo, Elaine. Isn't it nice to have some cool weather. You got a nice shot of the andouille. (It's a German sausage brought to Louisiana by the first German immigrants, some of whom were your maternal great-great grandparents.)

Looks great Elaine-have never seen this-almost looks like a ham or keilbasa? Got room for one more??

This looks absolutely delicious! Of course, your gumbo will be even better.
