137 sailboats are registered to race from Richmond, CA upriver to Stockton, CA - 65 miles or so of mostly downwind sailing into the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta. Winds were light this year, and our WylieCat30, Dazzler, the only boat without a spinnaker, finished in the dark with the Moore 24 fleet, just about the time that the band at the Stockton Sailing Club stopped playing. Boats were being lifted from the water to trailers well into the night. Sunday's trip downriver benefited from the light winds, as the water was quieter than usual in Suisun and San Pablo Bay.
