This image was take in Upper Antelope Canyon in the area known as the corkscrew. The canyon changes every year due to the annual flooding. In this particular case, there was a rock formation about neck high with some sand and a tumbleweed in it. I tried various compositions, but this one seemed best. I didn't even realize that people would get fooled by the scale of it since I always see it the same way, but I can understand why people would see it differently.
I almost didn't take this shot. Seemed a bit pedestrian to me in the canyon, but I had the time, so I took it. It's hard to judge your compositions in the canyon because the film will capture things very differently than you see them given the long exposures. The light and shadows really make this one work, I think.
