Puerto Ayora is the Galapagos Islands' largest town and the home of the Charles Darwin Research Station. In addition to research, the Charles Darwin station also aids the repopulation of various species of wildlife on the islands - most notably tortoises. After a morning spent at the research station and doing some shopping in Puerto Ayora, we had lunch a nice ranch up in the highlands, followed by a visit to tortoises in the wild.
