The core of Messier 13, 500,000 stars in incredible balance.
At a distance of 25,000 light years, the cluster stars cluster in a region 150 light-years across.
The distances between stars in the central region are greatly reduced; more than 100 stars could be contained in a cube that measures just 3 light-years on each side.
For us to understand, the closest star to the Sun is more than 4 light-years away.
