Twenty feet above the logging road with good light, got one shot off before the bird flew 100' down the road
and landed 25' above the road, watching a marsh across the road. I followed, pulled off 50' past the eagle
and as I stepped out of the truck for a shot, my feet left solid ground, camera went straight to the ground.
Stunned, I got up, hand bleeding amply, picked up the camera, got back in the truck, and feeling beaten,
went home for repairs. Camera still works, bruises healing. But I did get one good shot and here it is.
