The Red-tailed Hawk is probably the most common hawk in North America. It occupies just about every
type of open habitat on the North American Continent. This includes desert, scrublands, grasslands,
roadsides, fields and pastures, parks, broken woodland, and (in Mexico) tropical rain forest.
