Fly Eagle Fly
by Helen Leone Wilcox
Wings spread wide,
Talons tucked by side.
Eagle scans with clear eye.
Fly Eagle, Fly!
North, south, east, west
catching currents at their best.
Rocky crags atop mountains rest.
Fly Eagle, Fly!
With clarity, Eagle flies
where Spirit's beauty abides,
o're dry desert or ocean tides.
Fly Eagle, Fly!
Spirit's messenger of things untold,
His call sounds, Woe, woe woe.
So listen carefully with your soul.
Fly Eagle, Fly!
When it comes my time to go
Eagle will come on wings of Gold,
Carrying me to my home of old.
Fly Eagle, Fly!
