We've been watching a nest of Great Horned Owls (2 adults and 2 owlets) this spring and this is the first time we've see one of the parents not perched in a tree. We heard the owl, determinedly kept looking in the trees for it, when we finally widened our search range it moved and we saw it. Moral of the story, don't get caught in a habit...look EVERYWHERE!
