The Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO), Canada, provides information signs for posting at government
wharves. The signs give up-to-date information on openings and closures, by species and region, for
Commercial, recreational, Aboriginal and food fisheries that may be subject to closure by the DFO for
conservation, safety, contamination, seasonal or other reasons.
