Use your lens WIDE OPEN (whatever the highest f-stop is, f/14, f/22, f/32...). We get accustomed to using fast and shallow apertures. Coming from a landscape photography background (and especially from film), the other end of the spectrum used to be more intriguing while trying to get greater depth of field in those images.
