Apples from the Old Tree

Southern Vancouver Island

Years ago the apple tree used to be in someone's field or yard, now it survives on a strip of land between an industrial road and an old railroad track. It's gnarled and diseased yet still struggles to produce apples each year.

It is always interesting to come across these old apple trees, signs of a previous home or farm. V
