Yellow Flag Water Iris

Crow and Gate Pub

Water iris are showing in many of the ponds and bogs on the island and one of note is the pond at the
Crow and Gate Pub on Yellow Point Road, Cedar, BC. They have a gorgeous display around their ponds
this time of year, well worth stopping by for a visit. Yellow Flag Water Iris facts: This is one of
the more robust Iris. The tall, thick leaves contrast well in the spring with tall spikes of bright
yellow flowers. This plant grows up to 5 feet tall, with the flowers on stalks up to 6 feet high. It
has been planted nearly worldwide as an ornamental and bog gardening plant.
