Getting close to these ducks has been a challenge all winter, then you happen upon some quiet water and 'wow', there's one right by the shore! We can always wish for more and a sunny day would have made it perfect....but I'm happy I was able to get this close. Barrow's Goldeneye facts: They make a nest lined with down in a tree hollow and lay between one to twelve glossy green eggs. ~ Wildlife North America
