Brick wall advertising signs are faded reminders of (usually) defunct products painted on the fronts and
sides of buildings and can be found in small towns and large cities all across the country. The sign
painters known in the advertising industry as "wall dogs" and travelled from town to town, creating these
precursors to the modern billboard.
