We met up with this steer while driving through some of South Central Idaho's open range area. Later on our drive we waited while a group of steers wandered leisurely down the road in front of us. It was different having to watch for cattle on the road rather than deer, elk or little furry critters. (Open range is usually referring to a cattle or sheep-ranching area characterized by a general absence of fences.)
