Prince of Wales Fairbridge Farm School provided domestic training for young girls and agricultural skills training for young boys brought to Canada from England between the years of 1935 to 1951. The actual mandate was "to train for life in Canada boys and girls from the United Kingdom and to give them the enlarged opportunities of this dominion". The percentage of girls was much less than that of boys and the size of the dormitories reflected this difference. For more history on the Fairbridge Farm School click here
