Whenever I'm shooting hummingbirds it's always a mystery what the resulting images will look like. Sometimes you think you've got the shot and then only 1/2 the bird is caught in the frame, or some other disaster happens, so when I saw this one I gave a satisfied sigh of relief. It's all in the frame, the light is ok, it's in focus....it's a keeper and I'm happy because sometimes, after all your efforts, you don't get any keepers. Hummingbird trivia: Each day, hummingbirds consume up to eight times more than their own body weight in food.
