Sandor, the eagle in this photo, was rescued from the side of the highway at a very early age, after an accident that left him with only one wing. The rescue centre, whose mandate is to release rescued animals back into the wild, was unable to do so with Sandor, so he contributes to the centre in an educational capacity. Only one handler works with Sandor and over an approximately two-year period they have established a strong bond shown by the trust exhibited in this image.
