The birds are out, enjoying the sunshine and welcoming the spring with their song, and this Red-winged Blackbird was particularly vocal. I didn't see any females close by, but I have a hunch that he wasn't singing for me. The male's song is accompanied by a display of his brilliant red shoulder patches.
