Walla Walla County - Twin Sisters Rock

This is a little roadside monument featuring a pair of rock towers alongside the Columbia River. According to Indian legend the two towers are former wives of Coyote and in his jealousy Coyote turned them to stone. I visited here in early March 2005 under clear skies with morning light and as spring was just beginning. The photos:
