Wenatchee N.F. - Thorp Mountain

This was an October 2003 hike to the Thorp Mountain Lookout via the Knox Creek Trail. This hike had a nice mix of Autum and Winter conditions; a light dusting of early snow and clouds rolling in near the lookout as well as some vibrant Fall Colors:

Beautiful pictures. I spent the summer of 1967 assigned to Thorp Mtn. watching for fires. I enjoyed every minute of it. I took quite a few slides. At one point, we had three fires larger than 5000 acres burning.

Thanks for the memories... Born and raised in Wenatchee and loved the outdoors and did lots of berry picking and camping in WNF... Thanks love the color..
