The Tacoma Museum of Glass is one of my favorite photo locations in the Seattle area. The museum has an active hot shop where artists render glass art in front of museum visitors although unfortunately I have no photos of the interior right now. The museum also features some interesting architecture and public art as well as a lot of Dale Chihuly's glass art. There are several parts to the outside of the museum complex. The first is the signature metallic cone of the hot shop. The Venetian Wall is a case full of about one hundred sculptures. The Crystal Towers are giant polyvitro chunks on poles which are lit to act as beacons at night. The seaform area contains overhead glass in the shape of sea shells and other similar forms.
