The lookout. This one is a little bit unusual in that most of the Western Washington lookouts were ground buildings whereas this is a tower. This may be because it is newer or may be because this was or is DNR land and the DNR tended to use towers more. These types of towers are much more common in Central Washington. Off the top of my head, I can't think of another lookout that is a tower that I have seen in Washington where there was a shed within the tower structure above the first level. So that second level shed that you see here is somewhat unique. Tower was in decent condition. You can see the cab is boarded up.
