These are my pics from a late December 2005 visit to Mt. Baldy in NE Arizona. The actual summit itself is off limits legally as it is on the Apache Reservation but you can get quite close via the national forest. Mt. Baldy is the highest mtn in Arizona outside of the San Francisco Peaks with an elevation of 11,400+. We know it would have typical pine forests as that is the norm at higher elevations in AZ but we were surprised at the large meadows in this area. It was cool out but clear and the snow was minimal due to the dry winter AZ is having this year. The photos:
