This is a 83-frame panoramic (stitched, or mosaic) image, composed of 83 individual photographs. Each image was shot at maximum zoom on my Sony 717. Combined, they form a single, slightly wide-angle image. The image here has been drastically downsized. The original is about 16,000 x 12,000 pixels. At 300ppi, it'll print about 4.5 feet horizontally. A 100% view shows veins on the larger leaves and texture on the bark.

This image is really a test for me. I wanted to work out all the technical difficulties here, and practice for what I hope to shoot soon. I'll be scouting out a location for a much better composition.

This image was taken in the forest I used to hang out in when I was a kid. It hasn't changed.
