Central Europe's largest artificial lake, located in east Hungary.
An extraordinary area of 127 square km that was created by damming the River Tisza, in 1973.
Since then, the newly created lake was given the name Lake Tisza.
Today it is a rigorously protected natural resource entered on the list of
internationally recognised waterfowl habitats.
