Louisenlund grove contains the second largest (but probably the most known) collection of standing stones on Bornholm. The name refers to the purchase by the Danish king Frederik VII during his visit to Bornholm in August 1851. The grove was named after his consort, countess Louise Danner, who secured the grove a steady annual support for maintenance.
There are more then fifty statding stones at the moment, in the past there were many more. The place is especially magical in the mist, I had the luck to have one misty day during my holiday and my decision to go there at that special morning was surely right :-)
