Tabor was a center of the Jan Hus's Hussite rebellion against the catholic church, predating Martin Luther. It was also the site of the origin of the term "bohemian" to mean an unorthodox lifestyle. At one time a communial society existed here and one had to give all posessions to live in the community. Since Tabor was in the Kingdom of Bohemia, well, you see the origin of the term.
