The newly inhabited Chinese space module Tiangong-1 is seen as a small speck in the left center of the photo, just above the giant sunspot 1504 on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. It was taken with a Questar 3.5 inch telescope with an Identi-View full aperture solar filter an Imaging Source firewire camera. False color is added. The image of the space station was one layer of 150 images stacked to improve the resolution of the sunspot. It was taken from a suburban Milwaukee park. I made use of the Calsky website to predict the time and angle of the crossing.
