The space shuttle is connected to the International Space Station in this photo taken on April 9, 2010 as it transited the sun as seen from the southern unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest in southeast Wisconsin. At the moment, the station was 275 miles away. I used a Sigma 500mm f/4.5 lens and a DMK AF3103 firewire camera to take the photo. The shuttle is above the central part of the station, in between the two banks of solar panels.
