Hercules and Atlas

The two prominent craters in this photo of the crescent moon are Hercules (left) and Atlas. They're 69 and 87 kilometers across, respectively. This photo was taken with a Nikon Coolpix 990,using eyepiece projection and a 10-inch f/6.8 Newtonian. It was taken on June 25, 2001.
