The shock-absorbing case design of the Wyler Gen�ve Code-R collection employs robust yet lightweight materials such as titanium and carbon fibre resin as the basis for a big, tough watch that nevertheless sits comfortably on the wrist.
The movement is sealed in a titanium container held in place by a carbon-fibre frame to which the upper and lower metal plates are fixed by means of titanium screws mounted on springs. This leaves the movement suspended inside the watch, allowing shocks to be absorbed using a principle similar to that of a car's suspension.
The Wyler Gen�ve Code-R chronograph features the industry's only shock-absorbing watch case, built to offer the ultimate in shock protection with a bold and resolutely sporty design.
It pays homage to Paul Wyler, the watchmaker who founded the company and who was renowned for his innovations to make watches more durable. The most notable of these was the unbreakable Incaflex balance wheel, which he invented in 1927. It is featured in a special limited series of 3,999 pieces of the Code-R chronograph.
