I have no intention of ever getting involved in wedding photography... it's plain hard work!! Our neighbour's second daughter was getting married and asked if we minded them using our front lawn for photos
before they set out for the church. Of course we didn't mind. The golden robinias were in full leaf, the maraya hedge was lovely and green and our garden seat completed the setting.
Albeit the weatherman had forecast thunderstorms and showers, the day dawned and remained, sunny and warm. They had a professional photographer do all the indoor portraits before coming into our place. Trying not to get in the way of the photographer I managed to get a few shots off. He kept reminding the girls to "keep looking at me" with me saying "he's the one you're paying!"
They had two 1957 Chevrolets for the wedding cars. They managed to fit all six bridesmaids, the bride and her father into both! One of my favourite shots is that of the bride's brother and his girlfriend... they really looked as if they had just danced their way out of the 50's.. perfect!
