The New South Wales Central Coast Region covers from Catherine Hill Bay all the way south to Brooklyn on the Hawkesbury River. Boundaries for the region are the Gosford & Wyong Shire Council areas. As it encompasses a huge chunk of the eastern seaboard, I have chosen to break my galleries into a series, depending on where I visit at the time. They won't be in any particular geographical order, just where I decide to drive to, mainly depending on the weather.
Norah Head Lighthouse is located halfway between the townships of Budgewoi and The Entrance. Built in 1903, Norah Head Lighthouse was the last manned lighthouse built in the State and the last major colonial lightstation constructed in NSW before ownership and control of Australian coastal lights was passed to the Commonwealth. The Lighthouse and the Lighthouse Keepers Cottages are heritage listed and restorations have kept the original feel of the cottages. They are available for holiday accommodation.
