As opposed to urban decay, there are abandoned houses on properties and along the highways and byways, all over this vast country. There are many homes in villages scattered from one end to the other of our own beautiful Hunter Valley. As I said in another gallery, these places were once home to families who worked the land or were employed in the mines, on the railways.. whatever the form of employment. I can't help looking at these decaying buildings and trying to picture what they would have been like when first built, with a family gathered around the kitchen table for a meal.. how everyone had a part to play in the running of their 'home'. The stories these places could tell!
