I have separated these images from the collection taken at the Broadmeadow Locomotive Depot, as in my opinion they belong in the category of Urban Decay. All these cars or carriages, will eventually be demolished. A sad fact, but as they are in such poor condition they can hardly be restored. So much would need to be replaced thus removing the original materials. When I see these kind of images I am transported back in time where cars such as these were very grand and used mainly by people in the upper echelons of government or royalty. Thankfully there are many museums around the world who have faithfully restored carriages and locomotives, so that visitors can experience the early days of steam travel.
