For all the years of my youth I never saw an Eagle in my Iowa home town. Now for the last several years I have been watching this pair of Eagles nesting along the river when I visit my home town. Now it is not uncommon for me to see Eagles in the Midwest as I travel around. It is great to see this recovery.

My daughter showed me where there was a nest of eagles. I had to shoot a high ISO to get some shutter speed. It isn't my home town eagle but it is an Iowa eagle.
