If was Feb. 2 spring would be coming early. As it is I will have a long wait to find out when spring is coming. This Marmot would appear to be out getting his winter feed underway as he wasn't disturbed with the few people and cars about.

This marmot was getting a last minute snack before he heads to his winter nap. I got lucky because groundhogs are usually very shy but he didn't see me thru the glass.

A marmot was checking out the garden to see if anything good had grown yet. He came in and looked around, made himself comfortable and then he left. All in all very funny to watch.

Found this marmot out and about feeding on the grass. He didn't seem to mind me being there as I did keep my distance while shooting.

My first Marmot (Groundhog). It took awhile for him to come out of his burrow but thanks to a gentleman I met I got the picture.
