Autumn has come to Nebraska and with it many changes have occurred to the Platte river. The water level is as upstream has started it's yearly snowpack so the run off is done. As with all rivers there are plenty of trees lining the river bank and they have started their color change. Autumn on the Platte river is a beautiful time of year.

There is a lot to see from one of the rest stations on the Platte River Walking Bridge. A vast expansion of water and sky and the quiet of nature is an invitation to enjoy. The trees are changing color and there is plenty of wildlife to spot from the sandbars to the banks and the aerial shows are spectacular. Spend a few hours setting in one of the rest stations and you will be a new person.

The Platte River just amazes me as to how wide and shallow it is. Autumn on the Platte River is going to be pretty. The trees are just starting to make their color change. I shall return in a few days.

Didn't find the Eagles I was looking for but found this guy hopping around the banks of the Platte River just off of the Platte River Walking Bridge.

Winter is coming to a close and spring is about ready to start. To make the most of the coming season the Bald Eagle is nesting. Always amazed at the size of there nest and just wished they were down a little lower so a guy could get a peak inside.
