![]() Muscovy Duck Not a duck one normally finds in the midwest but they can be found from Hawaii to Canada. A Muscovy Duck has a face only a mother could love. On the other hand I find them very colorful and a stand out in the crowd.
![]() DSC04137.jpg The Muscovy is a tropical America bird but it has been seen in Texas and Florida. They are able to adapts well to cooler climates down to 10 degrees Fahrenheit. I could be wrong but now they have been seen in Omaha, NE. If I am wrong on this please e-mail me.

![]() DSC04624.jpg A warm bright winter day with lots of water fowl around provided a lot of fun. It was hard to look into the direction of the sun but provided some opportunity for a silhouette of two American Coots.
![]() DSC04619.jpg It was really funny watching these guys set down on the ice. Whole new meaning to ice skating. |
![]() DSC04741.jpg He seems to have an air about him.
![]() DSC04238.jpg This group was walking single file around behind me as they made their way to the lake. Made me laugh.
![]() DSC04224.jpg Ma and Pa Wood ducks. Kind of funny seeing these guys actually standing on ice below the water.
![]() DSC04169.jpg Not really sure about what I was doing.
![]() DSC04053.jpg Seems to be a little shy.
![]() DSC04039.jpg Seems to be a little touchy about his space.
![]() DSC04029.jpg Found my first Trumpeter Swan as the sun was going down.
![]() DSC03994.jpg On a very warm winter day, caught this Mallard taking off from the water and ice.
![]() DSC03995.jpg I caught a Mallard just touching down from a short flight on to the water and ice on a very warm winter day. The tail is dropping into the water and the feet are ready to hit the water.
